Painting
I primarily work with acrylic, but I also love add other techniques like oil pastels, China ink or acrylic markers.
Wood is my favorite medium
Among all the mediums, that's wood that I prefer because of the power it exudes, the random drawings inherent in its surface, and for the heat of its natural color. I directly paint on wooden furniture or panels that I glue on the furniture once the painting is done.

Recovery and renovation
When I paint on furniture it's most of the time on second hand ones that I completely renovate.
The quality of the wood is my first selection criteria for acquiring furniture. I usually look for ones made from solid wood (no plywood) whose beauty has been lost over time due to the multiple and different usages and owners.
Once the pearl found, I dismantle it, sand it, and modernize it if necessary. When this work is finished, I paint an art composition with acrylic colors that I often mix with oil pastels, Chinese ink or other mediums.
It's only when the painting is done that I reassemble everything.
Painting on a piece assembled to the furniture
Independent plank
In certain cases, I paint on an independent wooden plank previously cut to suit the dedicated furniture. Once painted, this element is glued or simply disposed on the furniture.
Replacement doors
I also replace furniture doors by new ones on which I painted.
It energizes the furniture wetter it comes from IKEA or somewhere else.
Treatement and protection
Next, the wooden furniture is reassembled and varnished.
The pictorial composition is protected by applying a layer of Epoxy resin resulting in a glossy surface, and revealing the colors. This resin also protects the furniture against wear and tear to which it is daily exposed.
For tables, I use a specific resin (Table Top) that is adapted and stronger, specially designed for this kind of furniture and particularly resistant to shocks and scratches.
